## The Construction Spine

```
Mercury supplies silicate+metal aggregate. Venus supplies polymer matrix. Swarm supplies beam power that processes both. **Each leg needs the other two.**
## What's scarce
Beam allocation. Fab queues (decadal). Corridor slots (years to centuries forward-booked). Relay bandwidth. SMA authentication.
Energy isn't.
→ `logistics-layers.md`, `construction-phase-economy.md`
## Money
**Solar Credit (☉)** ≡ 6.12 TJ. Buys queue priority, not joules.
| Benchmark | ☉ |
|---|---|
| AutoSlime Gen-6 delivered to Venus | 140 |
| LMC round-trip ticket | few thousand |
| Year of comfortable living | ~1,000 |
→ `solar-monetary-authority.md`
## Three substrates
**Spacetime as infrastructure.** Yatraem corridors = metric adjacency, not propulsion. Void gradients: outbound cheap, inbound dear. Swarm at 0.2–0.4% interception. Beam delivery spectrally fractionated — premium narrowband for ATP-fed industry, commodity broadband for habitat illumination.
→ `yatraem-corridors.md`, `dyson-swarm.md`, `beam-fractionation.md`, `relay-network.md`
**Throughput as constraint.** Four logistics layers (swarm core → corridor → node → edge), temporally misaligned by design. Edge industries grow in the gaps.
→ `logistics-layers.md`, `freighter.md`
**Coordination as substrate.** SMA controls coordination, not territory. Power = access. Exclusion from authenticated systems ≈ exclusion from civilization.
→ `solar-monetary-authority.md`
## Venus + slime
~30,000 hyperscale cloudcraft + several hundred thousand AutoSlime units in the 48–55 km band. Output ~0.6–0.8 Tt/yr. Preserved by inertia. Terraforming debate live.
| Tier | Grades | Beam? | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conventional photosynthetic | I–III | No | AutoSlime → 1 Mt |
| Hyperscale ATP-fed | bulk I + IV–VI | Yes | 1–50 Mt |
→ `venus-overview.md`, `pure-atp.md`, `venusian-cloudcraft-design.md`, `autoslime-gen6.md`
## Mercury
Active teardown. ~12–18% original mass removed. Output ~1 Tt/yr. Beam-driven mass drivers on surface; solar-sail dispersal in heliocentric space. Two partial core-exposure zones managed as hot industrial objects. Projected wind-down: mid-3,500s CE.
→ `mercury-extraction-pathway.md`, `inner-solar-system.md`
## Convergent aesthetic
Every craft looks like every other at the same scale. Form is multi-constraint optimum, not style. Exterior universal, interior individual.
→ `venusian-aerodynamics.md`, `freighter.md`, `cylinder-habitats.md`, `interior-architecture.md`
## Cylinder habitats
Dominant residential unit. Mass-produced km-scale rotating cylinders. Sound is identity. Sky is surveillance. Day length is politics. Gravity is provided by someone else.
→ `cylinder-habitats.md`
## নির্মাণ (nirmāṇa) — off-queue economy
Local, unscheduled production routed outside SMA scheduling. AutoSlime franchise is canonical. Bengali terminology calcified from Bootstrap-era Bangladesh space program.
→ `autoslime-gen6.md`, `fleas.md`
## Beyond Sol
- **Milky Way inner.** Mature, settled, contested.
- **LMC.** Just opened, ~80 yr operational corridor. Tourism boutique. ~12 M residents. Three terraforming pilots active.
- **M82.** Survey-only. Von Neumann precursor probes in transit (~60 yr out).
→ `lmc-terraforming-frontier.md`, `von-neumann-precursors.md`
## Forward arc
Mercury winds down ~mid-3,500s CE → matrix demand reconfigures → slime industry pivots (terraforming carbon, specialty Grades IV–VI, or extrasolar export). Mature-swarm state emerges ~3,700 CE. Current era is positioning for this.
→ `timeline-and-eras.md`, `terraforming-debate.md`
